The childhood of Pickler was not a smooth one. She was just two when her mother abandoned her to get away from the abusive marriage. In 1995, she was returned into the world of Pickler and was granted custody. The situation did not go very well. Pickler was reunited with her parents when she was twelve years old. Her grandparents brought them through adulthood. In the absence of the parents of her, Pickler became too busy caring for her kids. She stated that her time was limited, and she figured out how to look after the family from a very young time. Pickler took part in cheerleading teams at both her high school as well as middle school. North Stanly High School graduated in the year 2004. Pickler was also a contestant in a beauty pageant.
