Zoe-perry
Perry has the father of actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. One of her first TV appearances were as Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played the character. The parents of her didn't want her to take on acting roles until she was an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry admitted that she wasn't confident in her acting during high school. However, she began acting to meet new people at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry moved to New York, where she landed small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness caused Perry home to California, where theater jobs were in demand. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway with her mother. Perry was in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie as well as Kevin McKidd. This was performed at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. In 2017, she had a minor role on ABC's thriller about politics Scandal that starred her father. The same year she was cast as a younger version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again portraying a younger version of her mother's role. She got the part through an open audition despite being connected to this character.
